A very real possibility of the Palestinian elections is that these arab nazis will come into power.Of course the alternative is Fatah and if Hamas are Nazis then Fatah are fascists. There really isn't that much difference between the two.
Both want to destroy Israel, though Hamas proclaims this more loudly than Fatah does. Both want a Jewish free middle east, and then a Christian free one. Take the city of Bethlehem as an example. Bethlehem, which is under Palestinian control, was once mostly a Christian city, today only about 1/4 of the cities population is. If Hamas its way a once Christian city will be ruled by Sharia law. Restrictions on Christians such as payment of the Jizya(or poll tax), no legal rights, and loss of religious freedoms(even ringing church bells would be forbidden) would cause most of the Christian population to flee, most likely to Israel or the U.S.
It is not just Christians who need to worry, though they are the most defenseless, but muslims would also be in danger. Muslims who don't subscribe to the blood soaked perpetual jihad theology of Hamas will find themselves in danger. A hamas controlled Palestine will spread terrorism to other countries, most likely Lebanon and Jordan.
But who do the Palestinians have to blame for this? Well, the safe and standard answer is Israel. Never mind the arab nations who encouraged the terrorist war that made their lives miserable, or their eager willingness to embrace such a war. Or allowing a murderous kleptocrat like Arafat to plunder them while sending them to their deaths and their submission to that plunder and their glorification of death. No, somehow, it is everyone's fault but theirs.
People often believe that holding elections is proof of democracy. But that is not always the case, many arab countries hold elections but no one would consider, say Egypt, a democracy. They might hold elections but they lack the basic freedoms that makes a country a democracy. When your choices are between a group that wants to kill its enemies and enslave its citizens and another group that seconds that motion there really isn't a choice at all.
If the Palestinian want to be free(as all people are entitled to be) then let them get rid of the terrorists by not embarcing them. Lebanon had its cedar revolution, Ukraine had it's orange revolution. Maybe it time the Palestinians had a Ramallah revolution and really got their freedom.
