Oh, those poor democrats. How awful to be on the republican plantation. After all we brutal conservatives won't allow the democrats to run the place. I suppose not allowing a party dedicated to treason, usurping the law and defeat in war to run the congress is somehow the same as a plantation.
Personally I think it was a poor choice of words, but Hillary was only speaking from what she knew. The democrats, founded by Andrew Jackson, have always been about keeping people on plantations, when the republicans tried to stop them they started a civil war over it. In fact Hillary helped her husband keep Arkansas a plantation. While governor and she was first lady they:

Hillary is supposed to be a bright woman, but yet fails to understand on of the tenets of democracy: majority rule. In Hillary's mind the democrats, no matter how many times they get whipped at the polls, are supposed to be the ones in charge. I don’t remember seeing that anywhere in the constitution. Here’s how it works senator. The party that wins the elections, runs congress. I don’t remember the republicans getting a whole lot of power after Jim Jeffords gave the senate to the democrats.
We won, you lost. You don’t like it so you compare us to the slaveowners(all of whom were democrats by the way). Instead of outrage Hillary’s professional amen choir can only smile and nod in agreement. It would be funny if it weren’t all so sad.
Did you know that George W. Bush is one of the worst Presidents in American history? Well that according to Hillary. She said one of the worst, because she was fist lady during the worst. In history class I was always told that the worst President ever was James Buchanan (or if I had a Stalinist professor he would save all of his venom for Reagan) but BILLARY managed to pull of the worst presidency every, and managed to be the sleaziest at the same time. That’s quite an accomplishment.
Apparently George Bush is a miserable failure because he: cut taxes that has spurred on the economy to record levels of growth. Liberated 2 countries from fascist regimes, smashed al- qaida, helped spread democracy through the world, protected Americans from another terrorist attack, and that was just the first term.
In eight years Bill and Hill managed to have more scandals than any other presidency, raised taxes that set the stage for the economic downturn that started in June of 2000, run away from Somalia, not respond to the first world trade center bombings, fire cruise missiles at empty camps in Afghanistan after our embassies were bombed in 1998, let Saddam Hussein kick out U.N. inspectors, do nothing about the bombing of the U.S.S. Cole, do nothing about the bombing of the khobar towers, do nothing about... well you get the idea. Hillary knows about bad presidents.
Maybe she's so shrill because people are starting to leave her plantation.
