I believe we can all now readily see that Senator Kennedy had his head in the utopian clouds or stuck in a dark place to the rear of self.
This was Senator Kennedy’s estimation of the result of his immigration reform bill of 1965. Just as he failed to estimate distance on a small Chappaquiddick bridge, he greatly failed to estimate the current immigration status of America where America is certainly “inundate [ed] with immigrants from [more than] one country or area.”
“Ethnic patterns have changed. African-Americans are no longer the majority minority. The majority minority has become that of the Hispanic cultures and there are cries to make Spanish the language of America.
What is the reaction of Senator Kennedy? He is now calling for reform of his 1965 reform. In 20 years he will be exhumed from his grave to speechify another call to reform the reform of his 1965 reform. Thank you Senator Kennedy!
America has failed itself again. Lawmakers emplace all this “feel-goody” legislation and say they’ve fixed the problem of illegal entry into America. They haven’t fixed anything.
The wall needs to be built. Suicide attacks in Israel have been greatly reduced by the wall built between Israel and the Palestinian terrorist territory. A real wall between America and Mexico or a series of progressively higher walls will certainly deter a greater number of illegal folks from scampering through American streets.
My question has been why Mexico isn’t stopping these people from leaving their society? Aren’t these supposedly productive people who could be aiding the ailing Mexican economy? If they are productive why is Mexico allowing this tax revenue source to escape? I can understand them letting the drug smugglers and criminals escape. Mexico doesn’t want any drugs or criminals on their streets. Better they go to America to run their drugs and kill American police officers. But Mexico should not be permitting the “backbone” of their economy to rush away from their Mexican tax burdens. That is certainly counterproductive. This is nothing more than a duplication of Castro opening his prisons and allowing all his criminals to escape by boat to America. (Remember Jimmy Carter?)
Those who have chosen the legal route to America should be ashamed of their southern cousins. I read on a site concerning “Hispanic Heritage” that by 2050 fully 25% of America’s population would be of Hispanic origin even without illegal invasions. With continual non-enforcement of border discipline and the current rate of illegal activity, perhaps by 2050 that percentage could double.
The United States of America is under assault. Militant Islamic websites say that in 100 years the world will belong to Islam. Militant Mexican websites are saying that a huge chunk of America will be assimilated back into Mexico. The nation that has pulled the world’s fat out of the fascist, socialist, totalitarian and dictatorial fires set by the world’s tyrants and political bullies is about to be toppled.
Lawless barbarians have been toppling free societies for centuries. It is probably America’s turn to fade into history. The democracy of Rome largely fell because of a do nothing Senate. History is repeating itself. Just ask Senator Kennedy.
