I have to wonder about the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and the Los Angeles Times (I really don’t wonder much about anything out of California.) telling the government that they preferred to expose another secret government program for terrorist consumption than to help the government keep the homeland safe by keeping funds used by terrorists out of circulation.

The Fox News article was entitled: “U.S. Gains Access to International Banking Records in Terror Finance Probe” AP, Friday, 23 June 2006.

I read stories all the time about troop deployments; how many soldiers are going to different places in the world, how many soldiers participate in different operations against America’s enemies; the latest and greatest gadgets being used by the military against terrorists.

We know of the little “spy drones” that carry “Hellfire” missiles. We know of the suspected “secret” CIA prisoner flights to “secret” prisons inside European countries.
We know of the “secret” torture chambers of the CIA. We have discovered the “secret” terrorist surveillance program that the media has dubbed the “Domestic Spy Program”. And now we are being told of another “secret” program that tells Americans as well as terrorists how the CIA and the Treasury Department is tracking terrorists by their banking transactions.

Pretty soon the terrorists will know all of America’s “secret” programs thanks to the New York Times, the LA Times and the Wall Street Journal and when the Sears Tower is finally blown to itsy-bitsy bits those media outlets will finally have another 9/11 event to hang on the shoulders of President Bush.

The media is in collusion with liberals in America that cannot abide success against terrorist organizations. America is too powerful. We have to give our enemies an even break. It isn’t right that we can sneak a peek at terrorist financial transactions and stop the purchase of WMD’s and other munitions that terrorists use to ply their murderous trade.

We have to let the terrorists know we listen into their phone conversations and that we know who their financial backers are. None of these revelations of American secret war fighting projects have been revealed for the “public interest”. They have been revealed for the political interests of anti-war democrats and liberal zealots.

These people know that no one can fight a war that cannot keep a secret operation secret. Once revealed, there is no such thing as “damage control”. The revelations destroy any value or advantage gained. The enemy can now go to their plan “B” and the liberal media will certainly never reveal that. The terrorists must be able to maintain their advantage.

Thanks to liberal media and their inability to support the war against terrorism America again has one hand tied and a blindfold in place. I did not want to believe Americans could be so invested in America’s defeat that they would deliberately put the nation’s war fighting capability at risk. The actions of the New York Times, LA Times and the Wall Street Journal show conclusively the folly of such thoughts.
