Milwaukee- Americans for Prosperity Foundation (AFPF) - Wisconsin Chapter hosts a Round Table Discussion on Social Security Reform with U.S. Representative Paul Ryan and local students on Tuesday, August 8th. The Social Security Round Table Discussion accompanies AFP's educational project on Social Security which targets 300 campuses nation wide.
The Round Table Discussion, held at the Weldall Mfg. facilities in Waukesha, WI, features U.S. Representative Paul Ryan, a ranking member of the House Ways and Means Committee, author of the House Line Item Veto Legislation and the Social Security Personal Savings Guarantee and Prosperity Act.
Ryan's presentation focuses on a briefing of the current Social Security system, producing a strong case for reform, touches on the importance of personal accounts for younger Americans which will ensure Social Security benefits for future generations.
The Round Table Discussion will be filmed and featured in a DVD movie which will be included in AFP Foundation's educational project on Social Security. The project, in coordination with AFPF's student network, Students for Prosperity, will be distributed across the country to 300 college/universities in the form of a "virtual grassroots school in a box," which will educate and activate students on this important issue. The Social Security education project is scheduled to kick off in late November of 2006.
