Intel Opportunity: Classic Lunatic Logic
September 25, 2006 10:00 AM EST

Democrats are all aroused. An intelligence assessment makes a statement of fact. The result is: a classic example of why Democrats in charge would be like the lunatics running the asylum.

Here's the topic.

Your teacher wants you to complete your homework and hand it in on time. Your teacher says, "do your home work and hand it in on time."

You do your homework and hand it in on time.

Here's the lunatic logic.

Since you did your homework and handed it in on time, your friends are upset because you were not doing what they wanted you to do. So your teacher is at fault for stopping your play time.

No. You were at fault for not doing your homework and handing it in on time to begin with. Your playing around is a fault. The correction of it is a good thing. Not the teacher's fault.

So, along comes a leaked intelligence report.

Nedra Pickler, writing in Forbes, from the 'Associated Press' (again) in "Dems Use Intel Report to Attack GOP 09.24.2006" quotes Rep. Rahm Emanuel as saying; "Unfortunately this report is just confirmation that the Bush administration's stay-the-course approach to the Iraq war has not just made the war more difficult and more deadly for our troops, but has also made the war on terror more dangerous for every American."

Good ol' Dem honcho Harry Reid is reported as saying, "Press reports say our nation's intelligence services have confirmed that President Bush's repeated missteps in Iraq and his stubborn refusal to change course have made America less safe."

Hold on. We're not done.

Teddy Kennedy spoke. "This intelligence document should put the final nail in the coffin for President Bush's phony argument about the Iraq war. Despite what President Bush says, the intelligence community has reported the plain truth - the misguided war in Iraq has 'metastasized and spread' terrorism like cancer around the world."

Rep. Jane Harman said, "Even capturing the remaining top al-Qaida leadership isn't going to prevent copycat cells, and it isn't going to change a failed policy in Iraq. This administration is trying to change the subject. I don't think voters are going to buy that."

And in a literally funny typo, (this is how AP said his name) "But at least one Republican - Sen. Arleen Specter of Pennsylvania - said he was very concerned about the intelligence report and agreed that the war had intensified Islamic fundamentalism. 'I think there is a much more fundamental issue how we respond,' he said on CNN's 'Late Edition.' 'And that is what we do with the Iraq war itself. That's the focal point for inspiring more radical Islam fundamentalism, and that's a problem that nobody seems to have an answer to.'"

Yes we do, Arleen.

Engage brain for something other than a garbage in - garbage, out reaction machine.

If you were to be attacked by a mugger would you not fight back because it might make him mad? If your town was being terrorized by a serial rapist would you refuse to allow police to investigate serial rapists because it might make them mad? If you were attacked by terrorists would you not hunt down every terrorist and put a stop to any future attack? Would you stop doing that because the terrorists get mad and fight back? You would if you were today's Liberal Democrat.

Iraq is the place where an external invasion is being called an 'insurgency' as the invaders from other countries hide behind the same religious veil the big terrorists hide behind and Democrats only see the result (it is the image they have in their heads). So they have to just simply make up the cause. The cause therefore, must be a 'civil war' because people are fighting and attacking each other and the poor people are lumped into a 'class' by Democrats (they have a habit of doing that when it politically benefits them) and it becomes a sectarian issue. It is not. It is being played as one. A report that says, 'things got worse' is reported only as 'things got worse' and does not, by the very nature of 'classified' go into detail about why. Then the same lunatic inductive logic Liberals live by, is used to induce that therefore, it was wrong to remove Saddam.

News Flash: It wasn't too many years ago people who acted out those thoughts of inductive reasoning were held in captivity in padded cells after many sessions of intense therapy. Today they run the Democrat party.

It isn't the teachers fault you have to do your homework and hand it in on time. But it is to a Democrat.

"Democrats on Sunday seized on an intelligence assessment that said the Iraq war has increased the terrorist threat..."

Hold it. For some reason I have this feeling that the career 'middle management' of the executive branch (placed there by eight years of a Clinton Administration) are working for someone other than the President, or the country's best intentions (and no, I am NOT a conspiracy theorist!). Leaks from the CIA; leaks from the [fill in your favorite executive branch agency] only show a discontent in the 'ranks' to anything other than the liberal goals they were hired or promoted to carry out.

So out comes a report that says the teacher is at fault, because the 'friends' are mad? Nope.

The report actually shows the doctrine of taking the fight to the enemy works. Consequence is never something a person who makes inductive logic errors as a matter of course, ever considers.

Arleen told CNN, "... what we do with the Iraq war itself. That's the focal point for inspiring more radical Islam fundamentalism, and that's a problem that nobody seems to have an answer to."

Sorry Arleen. That is not the focal point. Iraq is just a battle in the war on terror. It is the Democrats focal point, which just goes to show that if given the opportunity to run this country, today's uber-liberal left wingnut politicians would ignore the topic, in order to score political points in supporting their totally absurd perspective of a fictional reality.

But Arleen could be counted on to fall for it.
