It is a tough thing to tell the truth when the truth is brutal. So if you cannot take brutal
honesty, you might be better off not reading this. It is bound to raise your blood pressure a notch (liberals especially).
Touting documents like the fourteen points of fascism, liberals these days (like the
clearly strung out Sean Penn) have been declaring the Bush administration a fascist
organization. They align statements from the President and those in support of him with statements from Stalin and Hitler. They claim that the biggest crime anyone can commit is question the patriotism of the opposition.
It is no lie that many dictators used propaganda to control the masses, however, I
doubt that it is propaganda to question the patriotism of groups calling for soldiers to shoot their officers as we see here. Additionally, one has to question the liberal obsessive hate towards the PATRIOT Act and any action that seeks to end the reign of Islamic terrorism inthe Middle East and its expansion around the world.
Frankly, I intend to make the case here that questioning someone's patriotism is not a be-all-end-all litmus test for a fascist. It is also a legitimate diagnosis for someone who is justplain at odds with national defense.
Let us look at some facts. Fascists have always used other methods as well as rough
words. For instance, real fascists attempt to control the media and education to accomplish a brainwashing of the people. Colleges and the media are the two largest anti-Bush systems and even when the New York Times illegally gained top secret information about a perfectly legal programto catch terrorists and find out who they are calling in the United States (the Terrorist Surveillance Program) the President begged the newspaper not to publish the vital information. Doing so would clearly provide the enemy the knowledge of what NOT to do.Yet like the anti-American organization they are the Times went ahead and published this top secret information.
Additionally, protest after protest after protest after (big surprise) protest has
repeatedly utilized every negative word and concept, hailing Bush a Nazi, coke-head, moron, conspirator, war criminal, daddy's boy and Christian crusader. Yet, Bush has hardly done anything but comply with the ACLU's repeated onslaught against America through convincing an increasingly power-mad court system to apprehend executive strength away from the President by judicial ruling.
Taking an honest look at the administration, there is no evidence to support this
bantering-about of the word fascist. But I intend to go farther than to declare those
illegitimately lambasting Bush as dunderheads. I intend to show that the left wing as a matter of standard is unpatriotic and is clearly set out against this nation. (Cue the blood pressure rise)
So here we are, engaged in a battle, not with a nation but with an ideology, not with
an army but with a network, not with a religion but with a group that has been set on world domination for well over a thousand years. We are the primary targets of these animals. That much is clear from their words and their actions. Every minute, millions of people worldwide are supporting radical groups with finances, weapons, protection and propaganda. Hundreds of thousands rally around the world, in free states as well as under oppressive regimes with the united intent to end the life of every non-radical Muslim (including moderate Muslims). They intend to do this at any cost with any means. If that requires aseven year old boy to wear a bomb to take to a movie theater, they justify it. If that hateful ideology demands that a man use a machete to slaughter an unarmed woman, it is crucial to their belief.
As Americans we are not facing the facts. Hitler has been resurrected and is wearing
a headscarf. He has learned the lessons of having his minions of doom wear uniforms
identifying their evil intent. The modern Nazi is a suicide bomber who blends in before
blasting thousands of grocery shoppers to pieces. The modern SS soldier kidnaps an
American soldier and slowly tortures him to death for no reason other than to satisfy the hateful spite of his twisted view of Mohammed.
Yet, the necessity of proactive action is to the modern liberal, "overstated." (Senator
John Kerry D. Mass, who fought in Vietnam by the way). The opinions of the left wing are such that the PATRIOT Act is something to be "killed," (Senator Harry Reid D. Nev). This Act has caught and derailed dozens of plots against our nation. We face a growing threat to our right to fly the flag, yet the hard left ACLU seems only concerned with the right to burn the flag. We are preparing for a coming storm of terrorism but Human Rights Watch is demanding we do nothing but wait to be hit again. Demanding that we negotiate with zealots is madness. One who is civilized cannot find
common ground with a thug whose reason for existing is to cut off the head of all those who disagree.
There are only a few foundations for these insane beliefs of the left wing. Either they
are foolish and haven't understood the threat we face or they are on the side of the enemy or (and most commonly and most probably for all the politicians) they are naïve enough to believe that negotiation is actually possible with terrorists. They do not believe direct forcewill stop any terrorists or they believe such force would only provide bystanders a reason to take up arms. Yet who will lose a loved one in crossfire and then take up an ideology of beheading innocent people from all walks of life?
The fact of the matter is we are at war and most of America has not come to grips
with this truth and a good portion of those people are actively engaged in declaring it to be ‘Bush's’ war and not our nation's war. Free speech does not provide legitimacy to foolish ideas and utter idiocy. Free speech provides the format whereby foolishness can be granted dismissal. Patriotism is standing for victory and nothing less when the President decides to act with authority from the Congress. Patriotism is not making life tougher for Americans. It is making life tougher for the enemy.
I find it ironic that we "evil" conservatives are lambasted for waving the flag while
"patriotic" liberals are praised for burning the flag.
