The new chant from leftists this election cycle is to "think" before you vote. Of course we all know what this means: if you're a conservative stay home. Very nice of them to stereotype us by political affiliation. The people who never judge anyone see us as racist, sexist, homophobes who unquestioningly believe everything we're told by religious/political leaders.
Thus we are supposed to forget all about that and take the well thought out approach from the leftist perspective. I guess there is some organization of scientists and college professors trying to get their students out to vote. That's all fine and good, except this is just another liberal group trying to push through a liberal agenda. I don't have a problem with that either, except in the fact that they're lying to their students.
"Think before you vote"? That's just lingo for their big government agenda. Officially science has no conscience. It doesn't take a side on any ethical issue. But that's not what this bunch is going to tell you. They're going to tell you that abortion is okay, euthanisia is okay, cloning is okay, etc. Humanitarian views (like Christianity) aren't supposed to be considered - we're supposed to separate church and state right?
Of course, morality in government is what prevents us from shooting all the people with AIDS and other highly contageous, non curable diseases. The morality in government is what prevents politicians from censoring the people and invading their privacy. Morality in government is what prevents us from simply taking out the middle east with our nuclear arsenal. So to try to separate the morality/belief part of our votes is dangerous.
But it's okay. They'll break the laws of man and good taste if it means they can railroad their way to victory.
