CANADA -- Tomorrow on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's morning current affairs show, CBC News: Sunday, The Conservative Voice editor and columnist Nathan Tabor will appear in a panel discussion addressing the mid-term elections in the United States. The show is aired throughout Canada.
Appearing with Mr. Tabor on the panel will be Rick MacArthur, publisher of Harper's magazine. The discussion will begin at 9:30 am ET and run about 15 minutes.
According to CBC producers, the jumping off point for the discussion is the Michael J. Fox advertisement in favor of stem cell research and Claire McCaskill's run for the senate.
The other ad that has made news in Canada is the anti- Harold Ford advertisement that says " Canada can take care of North Korea. They're not busy."
Tabor and MacArthur will talk about the impact of the war in Iraq on the elections. And whether the gay marriage issue is a ballot issue again for the Republicans since the New Jersey ruling on same sex.
CBC News: Sunday is one of the most critically acclaimed current affairs shows in Canada. The two-hour Sunday morning show, which focuses on media, politics and spirituality, has garnered awards at many international documentary and television festivals.
According to the show's producers, the hosts, Evan Solomon and Carole MacNeil, are two of the most respected current affairs journalists in Canada.
