Turncoat Jim Webb Gives Aid and Comfort to Senator John Kerry
November 01, 2006 12:14 PM EST

On June 2, 2006, Democratic Candidate for Senate, Jim Webb, received a huge endorsement from Senator John Kerry, an endorsement he widely publicized to assist him with his campaign to become the next Senator from Virginia.

As a Vietnam veteran you would have assumed Jim Webb would have immediately rejected that endorsement, coming from a man who defamed our military before a Senate Foreign Relations Committee on April 23, 1971, by claiming that are soldiers in Vietnam had "raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam." (John Kerry's Senate testimony). However, Jim Webb is now a liberal Democrat, and liberal Democrats use the memory of America's finest, for punch lines in jokes.

Now there are those who will say that John Kerry was young when he defamed the honor of our service members and should be given another chance, but consider his comments before Face the Nation on December 4, 2005, about our soldiers who now serve in Iraq, he said: "There is no reason ... that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children...". However, even with the more recent comments about our brave service members, Jim Webb embraced his new ally and in so doing turned his back on the soldiers who have died and continue to die for our country.

On October 30, 2006, the peacock from Massachusetts decided to once again defame our fighting men and women serving in Iraq, when he said the following to a grouping of college students: "You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don't you get stuck in Iraq." Where is the outrage from Jim Webb? There was none. Where is the call for an apology from Jim Webb? There was none. If Jim Webb does not feel it's necessary to call for John Kerry to apologize then perhaps the voters in Virginia will cause Jim Webb to regret his choice of buddies, on November 7, 2006. John Kerry and Jim Webb do not deserve to be United States Senators.
