By Sher Zieve – An Ecuadorian illegal alien, 19-year old Diego Pillco, has been charged with the murder of actress Adrienne Shelly. Pillco is reported to have told New York police that he staged Shelly’s death to appear as a suicide.

Shelly was found hanged in her apartment a week ago and it was thought that she had taken her own life. However, police found a Reebok “sneaker print” that was discovered to have been Pillco’s and led to his arrest.

Pillco, a construction worker who was refurbishing the apartment below Shelly’s, said that he became enraged when the actress complained about the noise. Shelly, the mother of a 2-year old girl, was stalked by Pillco into her apartment where he knocked her unconscious. Pillco said he then wrapped a bedsheet around the small actress’ neck and hanged her from a shower curtain rod.
