There was a time when Democratic politicians were normal and Democratic candidates for President represented the best of their party. Today, a former Ku Klux Klan organizer, Democratic Senator Robert Byrd, is the President Pro Tempore of the United States Senate and he was elevated to this position by his colleagues at the same time House Democrats voted in one of their most liberal colleagues, Nancy Pelosi of San Francisco, as the Speaker of the House. However, the Democratic candidates for President almost make these wing-nuts look normal.
Take for example Senator Barack Obama, who brought up how he did blow almost simultaneously when announcing his plans to run for President. Some of his supporter’s say it make him look honest, I agree, and stupid and like a felon but for the grace of God. Then we have Senator Joseph Biden who began his bid for President by calling Senator Obama "the first articulate and clean mainstream black presidential candidate". You almost have to wonder if Joe Biden has been spending too much time with his friend Robert Byrd. Senator Hilliary Clinton is too easy, so I will ignore the obvious and say this, she apparently only made one notable vote in the Senate and that was when she voted to authorize the Iraq War, and now she is claiming her vote was cast because she was uninformed and ignorant of the facts. I think she trying an Obama on us, she wants the world to know that she is honest about being stupid.
However, there is nothing like a civil trial attorney turned politician to create a new low in the discussion. Sitting in his 28,200 square foot mansion on his 102 acre estate John Edwards is already showing us what type of President he would be. To sell his story about how he is one with the little guys this filthy rich tonic salesman placed on his staff two bloggers whose anti-Christians writings have been repeated on numerous occasions by the press, and so I will neither repeat them now nor provide the name of the bloggers, all I will say is their writing were vile. John Edwards refused to fire these bloggers and finally when the heat became intense they quit. There is nothing honorable about keeping a bigot on the staff and we all know how quickly they would have been fired had they called for tort reform.
