It's True, North Carolina Democrats Have Dementia!
February 18, 2007 03:04 PM EST

I was born in North Carolina and have lived in the South much of my life. I am proud to be a life-long member of the Republican Party, the party that liberated the slaves, as opposed to the Democratic Party which struggled to keep them chained. Just as the Ku Klux Klan could never reform its image enough to cause me to join it, I could never join nor understand how anyone else could join the official party of slavery, the Democratic Party. I have always assumed that those who joined the Democratic Party had a form of dementia which impacts their ability to think.

Looking at North Carolina and some of its Democratic politicians there suggests to me that my theory about Democrats and their inability to think clearly, though sad, is also sadly true. For example, the Democrats in that state voted in Jim Black who rose to the position of Speaker of the House for North Carolina, and on Thursday that Democrat plead guilty to corruptions charges. He sold his office for cash.

Then you have Mike Nifong, the Durham County District Attorney who allegedly acted in a most unjust manner in his persecution of three Duke Lacrosse players accused of rape, all to win an election. He now faces ethics charges and possible ouster from office. He allegedly traded his office for votes.

Finally, you have a man named after a toilet, U.S. Senator "John" Edwards of North Carolina, who put anti-Christian bigots on his staff to work on his propaganda machine to secure the Democratic Party nomination for President. He traded his soul for a pipe dream.
