At Last, Honesty in American Government
May 22, 2007 02:03 PM EST

Finally American government is being forthright and honest with the American people. Last week the Senate Democrats and Republicans reached an equitable compromise for Immigration reform in America. The Senate, meeting behind closed doors for more than a month, deliberately bypassed the American people and removed any prospect of public debate to forge a “compromise”. President Bush is hailing this accord as a true bi-partisan effort and is ready to sign the Senate bill into law once it is ratified by the House of Representatives. Yes, American government has finally shed its false pretense, its double speak, and its concern for the American people. It is now blatantly obvious that Americans are in fact ruled by those they elected to represent them.

For many years millions Americans have been wondering just how saturated their government has become with socialist liberal Democrats and globalist Republicans. Americans have stood by and watched Illegal aliens march in their streets demanding citizen’s rights while no government entity lifted a finger to collect and deport these criminal invaders. Americans have been forced to endure cultural erosion, increased crime, an overpriced health care system, and diminishing education to accommodate those who have entered their nation and have no desire to learn the language or to become an American.

The peoples will regarding illegal immigration has been clearly expressed (by vote) to their representatives numerous times. In countless cities across the nation Americans are demanding that their government prosecute and deport those who have entered their country illegally and placed a heavy burden on American society. Yet government has either totally ignored the lawful votes of American citizens or has endlessly delayed implantation of the peoples will with ceaseless litigation questioning their constitutionality of the American people’s desires. The servants of the people, as they like to call themselves in campaign years, show preference to unlawful invaders rather than allegiance to legal lawful citizens who have entrusted them with power.

American politicians no longer represent the will of the American people. Representative government is dead in the United States Senate and on its way to being equally dead in the House. The great experiment is bankrupt. The abuse of power that the forefathers worked so hard to prevent has become entrenched in a governmental body which seeks to destroy this nation’s very existence.

When the Democrats were overwhelmingly elected into Congress in 2006 the writing was on the wall – Americans have rejected capitalism, free market economics, and democracy. The Senate compromise on illegal immigration was written and agreed to behind closed doors to prevent the American public from knowing what it entailed. Their action can only be explained one way: the Senate does not hear or care about the voice of the American people. The House is poised to further corral the American people as Speaker of the House Pelosi teeters on changing House rules to prevent the minority party in Congress from offering motions to recommit bills back to committee for discussion (an act unheard of since 1822). The Speaker of the House, not the President or anyone with his authorization, has flown to countries hostile to America and discussed things without any diplomatic authority or oversight. An act of treason according to the Logan Act of 1799 (last amended in 1994) yet no one does anything to punish Pelosi or prevent her from doing it again.

Presidential nightmare Hillary Clinton is on record saying that “the tax cuts may have helped you. We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good." More recently she has said, for the common good no doubt, that she wanted to seize legally earned profits in an attempt to move the nation toward energy independence. Has Democrat and Capitalism become an oxymoron?

Presidential panderer Senator John McCain from Arizona openly welcomes millions of illegal aliens into America after proposing and gets signed into law limitation of Americans free speech. Whatever credibility this former prisoner of war may have had has long since been washed away by his anti-American sentiment. How much mileage can McCain expect from his imprisonment forty years ago when he’s repeatedly betrayed those who have placed him in office over the years.

Once long ago a modest band of colonists challenged a super power over taxation without representation. How much less are the American people represented today when they live in a system that was designed to give the populace the ultimate power over the elected few?

Despite the conduct words and deeds of Bill & Hillary Clinton, John McCain, Ted Kennedy, John Kyl, William Jefferson, Cynthia McKinney, Harry Reid, John Murtha and George Bush the fallacy of representative government persists in America today; An America that Washington, Jefferson, Kennedy, and even Reagan would scarcely recognize by its lack of resemblance to the America people.

Americans by the millions need to rally in the streets (as illegal’s do) to demand a return to their roots in order to quell this globalist mentality that will ultimately result in the demise of American sovereignty. Until such time that Americans en masse make the effort of stopping their lives in protest to this foreign attitude in their government, matters will escalate until even the right to assemble is no more.

Thomas Jefferson once said that “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” Has the tree of liberty past the point of pruning? Will the hand holding the sheers be that of a Mexican illegal?
