Republicans: Sellouts? Chain of Fools?
June 02, 2007 01:00 PM EST

The Grand Old Party, the party of Lincoln, Roosevelt, and Reagan appears to be winding down. Democrats would say the decline is a result of a new vision of the future. A future that they, through omission and double speak, have worked persistently to manifest. But those not blinded by hopeful rhetoric or promises of government largess know the truth: The Republican Party is nothing more than a bunch of sellouts or a chain of fools.

After six years of a Republican President and holding the majority in both the Senate and the House the Republicans were flushed out of office in a landslide. This shift of control was far more than the wheels of democracy turning. It was the mass insertion of socialist cultural philosophy into American government; a philosophy that at least two generations of American youth has been educated to be receptive to.

In its history the Republicans, the GOP, have been beleaguered by internal factions and scandals. The Party, unlike their counterpart, knows that its base hold them accountable for their conduct, actions, and words. Yet, over the span of the six years the Republican controlled congress accomplished next to nothing of significance to satiate the conservative appetite of the Republican base that elected them.

The Republicans wanted to lose. What else beside sheer political stupidity could explain the lackadaisical attitude toward America’s sovereignty, the massive expansion of the federal government, the degradation of property rights, the betrayal of the free market, or the usurpation of state rights and authority? What else could explain the passivity and even timidity of the President of the United States and the Republican controlled majority?

The Democrat agenda, though mostly unspoken, was evident by their actions. Democrats sought to cultivate in the American people a greater dependence on government for things that Americans traditionally would have done for themselves with pride.

Why would President Bush and the Republican majority squander a huge opportunity to implement solid long lasting conservative change in America? How could the ‘Boy Genius’ Karl Rove morph into a ‘turd blossom’ and destroy the credibility of the Republican Party somewhere in the process without deliberate intent? A conservative agenda was never their goal.

The explanation for much of what has occurred for at least the last eight years is rather obvious to anyone able to string together events. But the explanation is one which is still largely dismissed by the general media. Americans are being conditioned to assume their place in the North American Union.

Basically the North American Union is a trade block consisting of a unified Canada, Mexico, and the United States. It would very much resemble the European Union and be governed by an appointed body independent of any single government or for the benefit of any one people. The North American Trade Agreement (NAFTA), Transatlantic Free Trade Agreement (TAFTA), and the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP) are all tools that are intended to fuse together the security and economic interests of Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

Whose interests would be served by the United States merging into a North American Union? The World Banks, of course. Why? Perhaps it’s a desire to quell the Mexican money pit? Perhaps the World Bank would prefer a more authoritarian role to more directly control the manufacture of wealth in America? Why would an American government betray its people and acquiesce to the will of the World Bank? Because the United States government, to support its own bloated bureaucracy, borrows two billion dollars a day from the World Bank simply to function. This type of financial dependence gives the World Bank considerable influence any nation. America is no exception.

Americans historically have been a ruggedly independent people. The type of people who achieve great things because, traditionally, they never expected help from anyone or settled for limitations set by others. This type of mentality flatly rejects and vehemently opposes the slightest loss of self-determination. Because of the government’s desire to spend and control more than the Constitution has provisioned, The United States must change. To change the United States, the American people had to be made to conform to the wants of foreign lenders vision of a global government.

To prod the American people in the direction of willfully accepting the shackles of socialism, Americans had to lose all faith in government, in their ability, in their righteousness, and their uniqueness in the world. Americans needed to be humbled, humiliated, and diffident. After all, self assured willfully independent overachievers are frowned upon in societies where centralized controls are in practice.

The Democrats, the elder party of the two, have for years have presented the American people with wimps, draft dodgers, turncoats, and misguided fear mongers for President. The Republican alternatives at election time have been, for the most part, disingenuous men eager to role-play those elements needed to appease conservative America for votes.

For far too long the American people have deliberately been forced to choose between the lesser of two distasteful options. Voting in America has become a matter of alignment with individual issues which may or may not be the province of the federal government to begin with. The most charismatic candidate who has mastered the art of salesmanship over substance becomes the media darling. Damn the facts! What color is he? Does he speak well? Is he well groomed? Can he lie without a tell? The end result has been Americans choosing between Un-American globalists or Un-American socialists. Regardless of the choice America would never be the same again.

The recent Senate backroom compromise was merely a stunt to further distance Americans from their leadership. As if the expulsion of the Republican Party from the House and Senate in 2004 weren’t signal enough to the Republicans, John McCain, a 2008 Republican Presidential Candidate, helped to craft this illegal immigrant amnesty compromise. A compromise struck between the socialists and globalists in the Senate, behind the backs of the public, without any concern for the welfare of America or its people. Arizona Senator McCain is proud of his role in this and wants to be President? Did the Republican base really need to be reminded of their leadership’s willful disobedience?

The North American Union, complements of some un-American vision of the future, is on its way. There are many in America who believe that illegal immigration is a result of government benevolence, greed or apathy. To do so is a serious underestimation of the skillful desire of foreign powers to bring America to its knees.
