"You put something like this out, its going to get picked apart by every yahoo and whoever those Minutemen people are on the border who can't find a tee time." - Bob Beckel, Democratic Strategist - Fox News 5/21/2007

"It reminds me of the old saying, 'A camel is a horse produced by a committee'." - Senator Byron Dorgan on the Senate floor 5/23/2007

Besides being the most dishonest discussion to come along in recent years, the heated debate over the US Senate's poisonous immigration bill is getting uglier by the day. And rightfully so.

House Minority Leader John Boehner called the legislation a "piece of s***". I heartily agree.

But when Americans who are gravely concerned about the fate of their country speak out against this piece of s*** stinking up the Senate, jerks from all over the political spectrum start calling us names. Democratic strategist and Fox news regular Bob Beckel called anyone who disagrees with this bill stupid.

Ted Kennedy, trembling from DTs got up on the Senate floor, tried to have a vote on an amendment rammed through without a quorum present, and then slurred, stuttered and stammered incoherently for several minutes.

John McCain, in a complete breach of Senate rules of etiquette and yet another demonstration of his unpredictable constipation told Texas Senator John Cornyn "F*** you... I know more about this than anyone in this room."

And I know just as much as McCain...

As always, I don't trust the US Senate enough to be truthful about their deliberations or intentions when it comes to illegal immigration, so I conducted my own research, watched hours of Senate debate, searched the congressional record, and read this bill cover to cover, inclusive of the various amendments.

Under this legislation the definition of a "guest worker" will include both skilled and unskilled laborers, as well as their wives and/or husbands and their minor children. Some Democrats are even claiming that's not enough...

This legislation also creates separate, protected categories of aliens. Anyone deemed to be from a country with an ongoing armed conflict or natural disaster can conceivably qualify to be an alien in "Temporary Protected Status", not subject to deportation. Even terrorists. Even if we decided it would be prudent to round up and deport large numbers of foreigners, all it would take is a small war, natural disaster, or petition by a foreign government, and we're stuck with these people.

This legislation allocates 400 million dollars for development of a new federal employment verification system. In total, the American taxpayers will cough up several billion dollars for increased infrastructure, security improvements, and enforcement mechanisms for the coming flood. Not only are they taking US jobs, they're demanding all the trappings of US citizenship, costing us billions in the process.

Finally, this legislation puts far to much authority in one person's hands, by giving the Secretary of Homeland Security almost unlimited discretion to waive any and all enforcement actions against illegal aliens.

In a statement on the Senate floor, Senator Byron Dorgan, a Democrat from North Dakota summed up the extent of the political chicanery being perpetrated by the architects of this legislation. He related that on one occasion, he told the bill's managers that he intended to introduce an amendment to scrap the guest worker program altogether. The bill's managers responded by saying that if that provision was removed, illegal aliens would continue to cross the border illegally anyway.

And thus the trap was laid...

The bill's drafters have strenuously argued from the beginning that the bill would -first and foremost- secure the border, and restore the rule of law. But if the bill secures the border, then how would removing a guest worker program result in millions of aliens still streaming across the border ? I thought they would be guests subject to an invitation, but I digress...

Make no mistake. This bill isn't about securing the border.

This bill isn't about restoring the rule of law.

It isn't about fundamental fairness.

It is about flooding this country with as much cheap labor and prospective Democrat voters as possible.

It is proof positive of the deranged nature of an entire generation of political leadership.

It is a bipartisan hate crime against the American people.

It will destroy the character of this country as we know it.

FOREVER.

I don't know about you, but as an American, I am damn sick and tired of being characterized as an ignorant racist or some stupid country bumpkin who just fell off the turnip truck because I oppose the wholesale destruction of my country from a gigantic wave of humanity. You only need to have seen the effects of the previous failed amnesty to understand what is about to take place.

Elitist pigs are pulling out the big guns in an effort to ram this bill through in a big hurry.Once the genie is out of the bottle, there's no putting the cork back in. This decision -in all likelihood- cannot be reversed. It will result in -not the legalization of 12 million people as the Senate bobbleheads keep citing, but the doubling of our population in a couple of generations. This bill is not the answer to our immigration woes, and will in fact exacerbate the problems.

Demand that Congress actually secure the border first, before there is talk of ANY form of legalization.
