Common Sense--Just Another Oxymoron?

There are no words available in the English language to express my outrage over the fact that the Senate would rather give preference to illegal aliens over honest people who follow the legal process to enter the U.S.!! Does common sense have no meaning on the floor of the Senate. Has it become just another oxymoron? Do they wish to totally distroy the rule of law in our country? Is there no longer any right or wrong?

On Tuesday, June 5, 2007, the Senate rejected Amendment No. 1189 by a vote of 31-62. The following is a summary of the amendment:


"To eliminate the preference given to people who entered the United States illegally over people seeking to enter the country legally in the merit-based evaluation system for visas."
