The hottest political issue in America today is “illegal immigration”. America is a nation built on immigration, not illegal immigration. Right now, America is a nation with open borders and with no control over the illegal criminal entries. Why do the executive and legislative leaders in Washington fail to get it?

It is very simple. As for me, what Americans are demanding on immigration legislation includes, but is not necessarily limited to:

1. Seal the border! Hire new Border Patrols; take the US Military, the National Guard, the US Military Reserves, the volunteer Militia, or whatever it takes to immediately stop the flow of illegal immigrants. Many illegals entering America today are criminals.

2. Build the fence at the border as authorized and financed by our US Congress in 2006.

3. Require illegal immigrants to register as an “illegal immigrant” with required US Government agencies, return to their native countries to receive a travel visa, and return to America if they wish. Then, if they do not have a criminal record, ascertain a “valid” Green Card, and register to obtain a “valid” Social Security card. Illegals with a criminal record shall be rejected and shall not be allowed to enter America.

This proposed arrangement can be achieved by requiring approximately 25% of the first group of illegals (Ex. last names beginning A through F) to return to their native country within ninety (90) days upon approval of new “common sense” legislation. Then the second approximate 25% of illegals (Ex. last names beginning G through L) to follow the first group within the next ninety (90) days. Then, the third and fourth groups will follow within the succeeding quarters, or ninety (90) days, respectively. Each group, upon registration as referred above, should be able to receive one (1) ninety (90) day extension each “with cause”, and to be required to register and/or return to their native country for their country’s visa.

4. Require illegal immigrants to register, attend, and pass “government approved” classes within one (1) year to begin learning “English” as our nation’s language. Then, within four (4) years, to attend and pass courses in US History, Civic, etc. as required. Upon completion, and within four (4) years, each may apply for US citizenship.

5. Investigate the Border Patrols who have been wrongly incarcerated and upon finding who are immorally jailed, free each, and fire the US Attorneys who are inappropriately charging and pursuing to convict the US Border Patrols whom themselves, are trying to protect our American lands and our American values.

6. Violators, as illegal immigrants, must be exported immediately or placed in jails and denied their “right” to return.

7. Employers shall be held liable for any and/or all of their own violation(s) of labor law enacted legislation and legated.

Just a couple weeks ago, America remembered Memorial Day. Memorial Day is a time to “honor” those who lost their lives on the battle field defending America, our flag, and our values. Those are the ones who cannot speak for themselves. We must speak for them. We must fight for them. Congressman Duncan Hunter (R-CA) who is a candidate for US President reports that over 600,000 Americans have given their lives on the battle fields since the beginning of World War I and continuing today to protect our American flag, and the values we cherish from within.

Illegal immigrants should not be allowed to receive citizenship without learning, knowing, understanding, and supporting our US Constitution and our values.

Political executive and legislative leaders in Washington, DC should not be waving the “white flag” and caving in to the special interest of illegal immigrants, just because of millions of illegals. The Washington leaders should be looking at our American citizens, both now and before us, as the real “special interest” group, period.

Most Americans welcome legal immigration. We, or our previous descendants, are ourselves legal immigrants. Most Americans reject illegal immigration. Washington legislators, get with it, understand it, legislate it, and actively enforce it! It should be a simple process of legislation and enforcement, not hundreds or thousands of unnecessary pages. With this being completed, America will win.

Don’t try to cram “Amnesty” down our throats. No, we who believe, want and/or demand these values are not “bigots”. America can not survive unless we save our American values.
