Besides the immigration debate, we have this talk about the fairness doctrine. Here is an unconstitutional law that was removed many years ago by Republicans. Why you may ask? Because, it violates the First Amendment. Now Democrats want to bring this law back. Feinstein, Durbin and Kerry and leading the charge. They seem to think that conservative talk radio does not allow democrats a chance to voice their opposition to what the host or guest says on the show. LIE! If you even listen to one show you will see that these hosts try to get democrats to come onto their show, mostly to prove they are wrong, but no democrats dare go on the show! Because they know they are wrong and they are scared of looking like fools! Once in awhile you may find a democratic congressman on a show talking about something pointless, but you will never see Harry Reid or Feinstein on one of these shows, even though they are invited. The funny thing is, the left have their voice, or I should say had, (Air America) but the ratings were so low, radio stations dropped them!! Radio is a free market business, those who have the listeners generate the most ad revenue and so on. Democrats forget about NPR, which slants left more than the NY Times. And you know something else? Your tax dollars pay for NPR. Democrats forget they have major news networks in their pocket. Everyone knows that the major TV networks all slant left. So why are they complaining again? Oh, that they don’t get equal time on certain radio shows. I suppose equal time to them means they get a majority of time.
Wait and see how many law suits will be filed if this measure actually gets passed. Hundreds! I wonder what side the ACLU will be on? After all isn’t free speech a civil liberty?
Democrats say they want less government. By re-installing this law they are creating more governmental control over American citizens. They want to bun guns in the entire country, they wish to make you stop driving your SUV and start driving a smaller car of their choosing, and they also want you to welcome your newest illegal immigrant neighbor, because they say so. Does this sound like communism? Most certainly! Call Feinstein’s office - (202) 224-3841 - and demand equal time from her. They will take a message and send you a letter thanking you for your input. She gives all her time to her lobbyists and people who throw money at her. She needs to give equal time to her constituents. That should be the fairness doctrine. Instead she sits up there on Capitol Hill with her communist cronies trying to figure out ways to screw us out of our rights as Americans while padding her bank roll.
They want to grant free citizenship and amnesty to a bunch of illegals and then they want to get rid of free speech. What country is this? Oh yeah, America.
