Anti-war Effort Not Resonating in Kansas
July 18, 2007 01:20 PM EST

Very rarely do I take the opportunity to report my personal experiences but on this occasion I believe they are indicative of the mood of the people in middle America. This evening during rush hour I observed a small group (15 or so) holding an anti-war/peace protest on one of the busiest intersections in Overland Park, KS. They held up various signs but one prominent one read, "Honk for Peace". This was the second protest that I had personally observed at this intersection in the last month. On both occasions there was absolute silence. As I sat through the light cycle (approximately 2 minutes) there were between 75-100 cars going through the intersection and NOT ONE horn honked. I can only conclude that the anti-war/peace effort is not resonating in middle America!

I point this out because you can be certain that the liberal Kansas City Star will not be reporting on this event. As much as the MSM would like to have us believe otherwise, there is not much support from average citizens to pull out of Iraq.
