"’A lot of people come up here and thank Jesus for this award. I want you to know that no one had less to do with this award than Jesus,’ an exultant Griffin said, holding up her statuette. ‘Suck it, Jesus. This award is my god now.’"
Keep your Emmy god, Kathy. Jesus would not touch it with a ten-foot pole. But at your death, you will stand before Jesus as Judge. Then we will see what you will proclaim about Jesus. Further, we will see how your Emmy god stands up.
Right now you tell Larry King that in the days immediately following your blasphemous statement, you have had the most fun in your entire life. Well, suck in the fun, baby. For it won’t last forever. Forever for you will be in a milieu you will wish you had not decided upon.
And those who applauded your blasphemy are witnessing to the same anti-Jesus creed that you verbalized, hence they will reap the same tormented destiny.
Jesus does not barge into a person’s life. Jesus only enters the life when invited. Obviously, you delight in shutting out Jesus. Therefore, don’t count on the Savior to break down your soul’s door with saving grace. It just won’t happen.
"’Suck it, Jesus.’"
Jesus taught His listeners that every action and ever word in a mortal’s earthly stay will be replayed at the judgment. Consequently, you can expect to hear those three words in particular again—and again—and again. But then your soul will bow in utter despair for then there will be no chance for repentance.
Evidently you, Kathy, do not take at all seriously the Gospel records concerning Jesus. You no doubt disdain the entire divine revelation. That is surely your free will power provided you by none other than Jesus, the Creator of all things, including the Creator of all unions in the womb.
So exercise your free will in tirades against the Savior as the Savior looks on, permitting you to do just that. After all, countless others have done the same.
However, the last word will not be spoken by mortal. The last word will be spoken by Jesus.
Those with any soul sense would not want the last words pronounced upon their eternal souls to be: "Depart from me, you who work sin."
Nevertheless, at least at this juncture, Kathy, you have thrown your destiny in the direction of blasphemous sin and thereby have chosen to separate your earthly life plus everlasting soul from the only Savior in all human history.
So goes the power of each individual’s free will. Laugh now, for your day of reckoning is yet to be, sadly.
