Sherri Shepherd: Nix on Evolution
September 22, 2007 12:00 PM EST

Comedian Sherri Shepherd just blurted it out on The View: "I don’t believe in evolution."

Good. Thanks, Sherri.

Of course, other than Elizabeth Hasselbeck, the others hold to evolution as in cement. What the others don’t know is that the evolutionary theory is a crock held by liberals so that they don’t have to be morally accountable.

It’s similar to Tom Cruise belonging to a cult—Scientology. He calls it a religion. He can call it whatever he wants to but the bottom line to Scientology is that you can live what immoral life you desire and still consider yourself moral. There is no eternal moral standard—no absolutes.

Therefore, Cruise can play a part in a movie in which a prostitute is atop him having intercourse and that’s okay. Presumably it’s okay for his children to view that movie. After all, Cruise and former wife went on and on about being advertised as the perfect, adoring, caring, protecting parents. The media stroked them to the nth degree—until their divorce.

What goes for Cruise goes for countless others in film such as Arnold Schwarzenegger who say one thing about family values and live out another on screen.

However, what is very significant is that any evangelical, born again believer would not be found dead in an immoral part in a movie or any other venue. Evangelical, born again believers hold to an eternal moral standard set forth in the Bible. Therefore, they know they are accountable to the God of that Book.

Back to Sherri.

She not only stated that she thought evolution to be bogus. She also quoted from the Bible’s Letter to the Hebrews as well as Genesis to make certain points bolstering his position. Three Hallelujahs for Sherri Shepherd!

For the life of me I can’t understand how intelligent persons cannot get the bottom line regarding evolution: it is a THEORY, not a fact. The theory is laden with holes. No matter what secular textbooks and liberal professors say, Darwin’s hypothesis is just that. It can’t be proven. It never will be proven.

Yet those who do not want to answer to an Almighty Judge for their earthly lives hold tenaciously to the theory. Why? Because if we all developed from a speck, we are not responsible for ethical decisions. We are just here, having come from there—a speck. And "there" has no moral base to it. Therefore, "here" has no moral base to it.

The devil was in one grand glee the year that Darwin spun "The Origin of the Species" in the mid 1800s. Now the anti-God people had a to-them-posh hypothesis to rally round in the name of "intellectualism." And now they could explain the origins of all things without having to take into account "In the beginning God. . ."

Since Darwin, the biblical believers have been made fun of. So what’s new? And since Darwin, the liberals have bloated their chests in concluding they are onto the truth.

Thank you, Sherri, for reminding the viewing world that there are those in our culture who have not been duped into the crock called "evolution." Their number actually is legion, though Whoopi and Company have yet to realize that.
