Bible and the Fairtax.org Tax Plan
October 17, 2007 01:52 PM EST

Where does the AFA and WorldViewWeekend.com stand on flat vs. Fairtax tax plan?

The most biblically based tax system would be one based on a flat tax system where everyone pays the same percentage of their income in taxes." - WorldViewWeekend.com

This question from the WorldViewWeekend.com website is simply wrong.

An income tax is not Biblical simply because it is an income tax (Rom 13:7). It is they way it is applied which makes it Biblical or not. I also do not think any Christian can or would defend the current tax system in America .

Tax systems are designed to do more than just collect taxes. Hillary Clinton is gearing up to completely wipe out all Biblical principles America was founded on. Her plan is to drive people into state dependency and keep them there with her tax plan. She knows the terrain and how to conduct a total cultural war.

On a political scale, with Jesus on the right and Satan left, Hillary is standing just left of Satan.

While Christians are in panic, gearing up for the Mother of all Cultural Battles, no one seems to want to check with the Bible and see if we can counter Hillary with a tax plan of our own.

Let’s be clear what the goal for our tax plan is: Our goal is to worship God with our First Furits of our labor, by decentralizing the tax system to allow people to dictate the terms of their engagement in the tax system, thereby diminishing their dependency on government with a flat consumption tax with a monthly prebate.

When you decentralize government with a consumption tax, the citizenry will dictate the terms of their engagement in civil government, and the Blessings of God’s people will then overpower the failures of human reasoning and self-government will rule with Christ as King.

By decentralize the tax code and turning the management over to the body politic, we can eliminate the social engineering projects of wacko socialists like left of Satan Hillary Clinton.

The flat tax is simply is not the best choice of Biblically minded Christians. If we are going to use the Bible to design a tax system let’s not repeat history. Our current tax system started out as a flat tax. FICA and the AMT are flat taxes. Eliminating the income tax encourages savings and also promotes the first commandment by God to fallen man – get a job (Gen 3:19 )!

If we study the Bible, I think a Head Tax is the tax a Bible Commonwealth should deploy. But History shows us we need to consider another factor before picking a Head Tax. (Heb 12:1).

In my study of Christian History, I have found there are two kinds of cultures the church deals with. The first is a Culture against Christ; the second is a Culture of Christ. The former is the norm and the latter is seldom achieved because Christians lose watch over the headwaters of prosperity and freedom.

We do not live in a Culture of Christ, so save the Head Tax for a later day. We live in a Culture against Christ!

A Culture against Christ tax system should have a few starting goals: Raise money for the government, it should be fair and treat all people the same regardless of their affluency, it should not interfere with prosperity in any way, and it should be thrifty in its collection and enforcement.

Some Good News - Fairtax.org Tax Plan

WorldVeiwWeekend.com or AFA people do not need to spend anytime trying to design a Biblical-based tax system for both the state and federal governments. One already exist, and has been presented to both the House and the Senate. Please research H.R. 25 and S.B 1025. Five states also have grass-roots organizations gearing up to pass state versions of the Fairtax plan. I believe Texas , Georgia , Michigan , and Florida all have local chapters working on state Fairtax plans.

It should be noted that a state version of the Fairtax has the potential of creating a mass exodus from public schools by families who want a real education. I can speak to that later.

Before I start explaining the Fairtax from a Biblical World View, I need to ask a few good questions to the WorldViewWeekend.com and AFA people:

  • Why don’t you guys simple tell us who to vote for?
  • What do you fear from the IRS?
  • What are you compromising by not speaking the truth about who we should vote for?

A friend gave me the answer, and told me to be sure a tell all churches, pastors and Christian groups, “Be sure and point out how the Fairtax frees churches from the threat of the loss of nonprofit status, the Johnson amendment and the IRS restricting free speech from the pulpit.”

Beyond freeing Christians to set the World on Fire with the saving Grace of Jesus Christ, the Fairtax treats rich or poor inexactly the same, yet at the same time it completely untaxes the poor (Mat 22:39). It eliminates all income taxes and payroll taxes, returning the fruits of everyone’s' labor (Luke 19:8). To some this may be a technical point, but I have a verse from the Bible to support it, "Honor Jehovah with thy substance, And with the first-fruits of all thine increase, So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, And thy vats shall overflow with new wine.(Pro 3:9-10)" - It's the Economy Stupid.

Proveb 3:9-10 raises another very good question: If 80% of all marriages end because of finanical problems, why aren't Christian leaders following the income path of families all the way to the headwaters and make sure it is clear of all obstacles?

Let's make it clear one more time, the Fairtax encourages savings which is the opposite of debt. (Pro 22:7)

Christians have put considerable effort in attacking family debt, and they stand on firm Biblical ground in this effort, but what about "First Fruits"?

Is there a Godly order in which money is to be given or paid? If "First Fruits" giving should be followed, then why is it not practiced in any Church in America ? Answer: Fear!

In My quest to get pastors and Christian Leaders to look at the Fairtax, I'm learning that the subject of taxes is sometimes deemed a distraction, from more vital spiritual concerns. I'm getting a “Do not bother me now, I'm trying to save the world from humanism” response.

My response is, does Hillary Clinton have a tax plan to promote her values? Maybe we should support one which promotes our plan of Christian Liberty.

I learned that, Jesus did not waste time with some religious leaders, but went straight to the chief tax collector house, and he also put a few tax collectors on his Evangelistic Team, (Matt 10:3, Luke 5:27). Maybe we should Follow the way of the Master and get the Fairtax.org people on our team.
