Why vote for someone who so specifically upholds the Constitution to the letter?

Because, John Edwards is A man who does not let his personal preferences perforate his professional position; he honors the Constitution and the egalitarian body it embraces and therefore, engages ALL of us as whole.

While politically, economically, religiously, or morally one might applaud or oppose same sex marriages, abortion, foreign war, universal medical care, subsidized social security, taking God out of the classroom, having immigrants register, or allowing lobbyists to buy favors; via the Constitution, We, The People are provided the freedom of this choice.

Personally I am Catholic. So morally I do not believe in war for the sake of war, abortion, and taking God out of the Classroom; however, I am realistic enough to know that if I want these preferences I have to invest in it "personally." Via the Constitution, I have the right to these choices; therefore I take the responsibility to invest in private schooling where my rules, religion and morals meet.

Morals can not be dictated by the State, however; our government can reflect good judgment, honesty, moral strength, renewable energy, educational availability and thus prosperity for all who chose to "work for what they want" in achieving their personal goals in a society that allows freedom of choice. The American Dream is available - the Dream is within reach, but not at the "expense" of others. I do not choose to call my opinion democratic or republican, but I do support the wisely written Constitution that is inclusive of all.
