Huckabee is right. Abortion is a moral issue just as slavery was a moral issue. It wasn't right to leave slavery, or even segregation, as an issue to be decided by the individual states precisely because these are absolute moral issues as well as public moral issues.
In the light of Fred Thompson's rejection of the human life amendment and arguing that pro-life is an issue for states, I can no longer support Fred Thompson. Thompson is absolutely wrong! Grant Swank is correct in pointing out that Huckabee is the true pro-life candidate.
The callous murder of nearly fifty million unborn babies in our nation since Roe Vs. Wade was nothing more than a judicial out-streched fist against a good and holy God. This is the top issue from God's perspective. It won't make gasoline cheaper, but it will make God happier when our nation supports righteousness. The Scripture says that "righteousness exalteth a nation". And supporting Huckabee on this issue is not at the expense of other important issues either. It is not an "either or" issue at all.
Thank you, Grant Swank for speaking up!
