It's official now. HIV blatantly discriminates. It's racist. It attacks a higher percentage of black folk than white.

Just as it's becoming clear that the United Nations has been exaggerating greatly the number of HIV cases in Africa (I wonder why they would do that? Is it because Americans would send billions of dollars to be wasted by UN bureaucrats?), it is now being reported that the rate of HIV in Washington, D.C., is the highest of any US city. The HIV virus is picking on heterosexuals (but it's not stated just what percentage of these heterosexuals are drug abusers, female partners of drug abusing men, or female partners of bisexual men). The HIV virus is picking on children (but whether these children are being born by drug-abusing women who neglect their own health and that of their children is not stated).

HIV epidemic! Black homeless heterosexual children hit hardest!

It appears the NY Times thinks this could be solved if the hard-hearted evil congress, run by left-wing Democrats, would only pay for clean needles for the junkies. I seriously doubt that would solve the problem.

Perhaps it is, since Washington, D.C., is run also by left-wing Democrats and largely black Democrats at that, that the problem will not only not be solved by more left-wing Democratic throw-money-at-the-problem solutions, but has actually been caused or worsened by left-wint Democratic programs.

The HIV virus is, I guarantee, color blind. Heck, it's totally blind! It has no eyes at all. It can't see nothin.' It's not a racist virus!

It's the BEHAVIORS, stupid!

Doing IV drugs isn't smart. It's dangerous.

Having sex with men you are not very familiar with isn't smart. It's dangerous!

Refusing to get tested or treated isn't smart. It's dangerous, both for the mother and the baby.

What's dangerous, stupid, and racist is the refusal of newspapers like the NYT and politicians like the left-wing Democrats to face reality and put the blame where it belongs: On the people engaging in the dangerous behaviors.
