MURDER IS MURDER EXCEPT TO RADICAL MUSLIMS
Canadian Imams have denounced the murder as un-Islamic, but underscored the importance of a hijab by saying that children who shunned it could make some parents feel like failures. Other observers say the discussion should centre around domestic violence, which affects all communities.Aqsa Parvez, a sixteen year old girl, was strangled by her father because she refused to wear the hijab, submit to Moslem living, and stop acting like a Western child; she just wanted to be an ordinary teenager and fit in at school. Her father refused to allow her to assimilate and dress like her peers at school. For some unfathomable reason, he was only charged with second degree murder.
“Muslim leaders admitted a child who didn’t wear the hijab could bring shame to a family, and the parents could be viewed as failures in the community.”Does murder erase the shame and elevate one’s success in the community? Are we talking about the Moslem community or the community at large?
There is absolutely no excuse for a father to murder a child over antediluvian religious and primitive cultural beliefs. Will they expect us to allow them to have public stoning next? Murder is murder. It is unacceptable. There is no excuse, reason, or explanation. It is pure and simple; MURDER. This is not a true domestic violence issue, as the Moslem support groups claim- it goes way beyond what domestic violence is. This is a religious and cultural murder committed according to the Moslem law of Sharia.
Moslems are still trying to live in the Tenth Century. It is time for them to join the Twenty First Century or go back to whatever country they came from. They must abide by our modern laws and allow their children to assimilate.
They actually want to debate this?
The death of Aqsa Parvez has prompted considerable soul-searching and much polarized debate about multiculturalism, how to balance religious rights vs. gender rights, intergenerational dissent and a culture clash.Whenever a girl dies at the tender age of 16, it's a tragedy. But the death of Mississauga, Ont., teenager Aqsa Parvez, many fear, may represent something more: a sign that the loathsome and barbaric practice of Muslim "honour killings" is making its way from South Asia and the Middle East to Canada.
HE TERRORISTS FROM CAIR WEIGH IN
A spokesman for the Canadian Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-CAN) said he is dubious of opinions that the girl’s death resulted from a clash of cultures. “Teen rebellion is something that exists in all households in Canada and is not unique to any culture or background,” CAIR-CAN’s Sameer Zuberi said in an interview. “Domestic violence is also not unique to Muslims.”
