I'm confused. I had high hopes that things were getting better in the Middle East. There has been a strong lull in bad news coming from Iraq and Afghanistan. As we all know, with the media, no news is good news. But recently, I heard a report on the radio about a suicide bomber who had wrapped himself not just in explosives but in shrapnel as well.
Something caught my ear as I listened. Yes, a suicide bombing among worshipers. Yes, many dead and many wounded. But the attack occurred in Pakistan.
Well, wait a minute. I was under the impression that all the suicide attacks were because we had illegally invaded nations and stirred up local rivalries into a civil war. I had listened to the media and believed that suicide attacks happen because of unethical occupation of foreign lands.
When did we invade Pakistan? Do we have a general in charge of the forces that we must have in that nation? After all, there would be no attacks or violence if American soldiers were not there.
Of course, I'm being facetious. I never bought into that foolishness because I recall what happened before 9/11. I recall seeing suicide bombings constantly. What was the reason given at that time? America allied with Israel. Even then it was not just Israel or American embassies that were being bombed. Plenty of areas that have nothing to do with Israel or America were attacked. Maybe the rest of the Middle East is just mad because we made Saudi Arabia wealthier while ignoring every other nation. Or perhaps it was our meddling in affairs not ours, with every President since Jimmy Carter coercing paper bound peace agreements.
I can run around in circles for hours and confuse myself but the truth is far easier to understand.
Islam has at its core the repression and oppression of mankind. I read an eye opening book called "Secrets of the Koran" this year by an old friend of my parents Don Richardson. Richardson is a noted missionary whose study of Islam has lead him to some stark realizations which are entirely ignored by everyone including our President.
The history of Islam is a tale of rape, theft, treachery, malice and even pedophilia. Mohamed for a host of reasons could not gain support for his new religion. The Arabs were unaccustomed to monotheism and were unsure of how to accept Mohammed's claim that he was a new prophet along the line of the prophets of the Jews and Christians. The Arabs turned to the Jews and Christians to validate Mohammed’s claims to communicate for God. After years of rejection for many reasons Mohamed eventually enticed Arabs to join his cult by promising rights to plunder and enslave all who opposed Islam. The writer of the Koran even promised sexual rights to non-Muslim women and unending virgins in heaven whose virginity was miraculously restored after intercourse.
"Secrets of the Koran" lays out very plainly the most despicable acts and commands Mohamed weaved into Islam. Islam’s great prophet, as a sixty year old man, accepted a gift of a follower’s daughter in marriage. Perhaps this was not a unique gift in that culture except to note that the girl was six years old. Well, many claim that it does not matter because Mohamed waited three years to sexually complete the marriage. But he was not getting any younger and nine is hardly an age of consent in any culture. Perhaps he waited or perhaps she refused him and he turned to his other wives until she relented.
Those things are still controlling the populations of the Middle East through mullahs. The madness is even spreading. Richardson displays how Islam will overtake the west through passive efforts instead of attacks.
Richardson does provide some solutions in his book but the primary purpose is to display exactly what is going on. The truth is that the entire Middle East is caught up in its own hate. Mullahs control their populations and each people group is taught from birth to hate all other people groups and belief systems. This hate is so ingrained that it will push a parent to strap a bomb onto his three year old child and send that child into a market to die with infidels.
This is not a level of radicalism that is instituted merely by disgust of American foreign policy. How many of us Americans, at mere governmental injustice, would use a machete and cut off the head of a screaming, unarmed man? None. Such inhumanity comes only from the insane or a culture that is systematically brainwashed.
Liberals seem to love promoting diversity and cultures not American but they seem to completely bypass the brutality standard in the Middle Eastern society. The left should stop blaming our troops for the despotic culture of Islam.
