Update on State-Funded Tuition for ANG
January 09, 2008 01:00 PM EST

Since I started WWW.IraqERAVeteranGIBill.com in March of 2007, dozens upon dozens of states will now fund university tuition for their Guardsmen. This is wonderful news.

When I attended college on the Veterans Educational Assistance Program in the 1980s, I received a paltry $180 bucks a month. Needless to say, I had to work part time, and watch every single penny. When I picked up my VA check at the VA coordinator at Louisiana Technical University every month, the first order of business was buying groceries at the local Piggly Wiggly.

Today an Air National Guardsman in lets say Anchorage, Alaska (907-248-1282) may attend The local university for free, collect Montgomery GI Bill money, and work a great part time job. In addition, Guardsmen are now eligible for Tricare medical insurance after they return from modest deployments.

For a person without means, healthy enough to pass a military physical, and possessing a solid attitude, this is a tremendous opportunity to better one’s lot. An updated list of states that provide free state tuition for their Guardsmen is at www.military.com or my website www.IraqEraVeteranGIBill.com. The world is waiting for you!
