There are many on the left who repeatedly chant that the dangers of Muslim extremist terrorism are exaggerated. Some hint that it is essentially non-existent.
I was reminded of this when I read the "Get Fuzzy" comic strip this morning. Rob, talking to his cat’s editor, says he’s heard he’s writing for a reality show. The cat hands Rob a sample script, which includes the line Stupid Man: “This lion is fully trained. I will now demonstrate by sticking my head in his mouth and…SCREAMS!” Rob points out that there are no lines written for the lion, and the cat-editor points out “Well, lions are good at improv.”
This is much the way with terrorists. They don’t follow the scripts of the appeasement folks. Give them land for peace, and you get no peace but they have your land, for example.
They promise to stop building nuclear reactors if you give them enough oil to power their country, and after you give them the oil, you find out they have built the nuclear reactor anyway.
They promise to stop killing people if only you leave a specific country, but then you find they are plotting mayhem elsewhere.
The left wing folk and Ron Paul only know one appeasement line and keep pushing for us to put our heads in the lion’s mouth, but the terrorists are good at improv.
