Reaction to my recent article disputing Barack Obama's claim that his views of abortion and infanticide don't make him "less Christian" ranged from the sublime to the ridiculous (and racist).
The pro-life Catholic mother of a deservedly famous son used a four-letter word after reading my article: "AMEN".
A New York father and grandfather shared these thoughts:
"I am an observant Jew and want to thank you for speaking up about this issue concerning a potential presidential candidate. How any knowing human being could condone and/or advocate the killing of unborn children is a horrible reflection on the state of American society today. I am a parent and have seen the sonograms of all my unborn children and it is beyond any reasonable doubt that they are human beings and should be protected as all children should be, regardless of whether they reside in or outside the mother."
I doubt this gentleman could vote for Barack, with Barack not only having a "perfect" pro-abortion voting record (according to NARAL), but having worked to deny Fourteenth Amendment protection to babies born alive as a result of botched abortions.
Another gentleman called my attention to an unfortunately obscure article by Brian Fitzpatrick titled "The Gospel According to St. Barack? Media Ignore Obama Citing Jesus to Justify Same-Sex Civil Unions," stating in part:
"[T]he media just snored through Barack Obama’s abuse of the Sermon of the Mount to justify same-sex civil unions.
“'People who are gay and lesbian should be treated with dignity and respect and the state should not discriminate against them,' said Obama on Sunday in a campaign speech at Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio. 'I don’t think it [a same-sex union] should be called marriage, but I think that it is a legal right that they should have that is recognized by the state….If people find that controversial then I would just refer them to the Sermon on the Mount, which I think is, in my mind, for my faith, more central than an obscure passage in Romans.'
"Don’t miss that last clause. Barack Obama is going beyond twisting Scripture to justify sin. He is also telling America how to interpret the Bible, the founding document of Western civilization and the foundation of America’s Constitution – by cherrypicking. In Obama’s formulation, some verses count more than others, and he is willing to invoke the authority of Scripture to support policies based on his personal preferences."
Mr. Fitzpatrick: "At least eight major media organs had reporters covering Obama’s speech, and together they filed 11 stories. Not a single newspaper ran a story reporting that Obama said his support of homosexual civil unions is justified by the Sermon on the Mount, and that he chose to reject the counsel of the Book of Romans. Imagine if Mike Huckabee had cited Romans to justify opposition to civil unions. Wouldn’t The New York Times have put the story on the front page, complete with dire warnings of impending theocracy?"
Unfortunately, until very recently, the secular extremist media was effectively promoting Barack's campaign by very selectively reporting instead of fairly reporting and it cannot be relied upon.
Not long ago, a commentator opined that if Hillary Clinton stopped Barack from winning the Democrat presidential nomination, she would have to do something akin to bashing a baby seal with a club.
It is Barack working to protect the "right" to kill a baby born alive as a result of a botched abortion that calls to mind the horrible image of a person clubbing a baby seal to death, not Hillary's television commercial asking who do you want answering the red phone in the White House at 3 AM.
Still, Barack had an ardent supporter who (like Satan) quoted Scripture while shamelessly twisting its meaning.
This man emailed:
"Are you a Christian? Does this mean anything to you?
"Luke 6:42
"...how can you say to your brother, 'Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye,' when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye?
"Going by your articles, you are one of the worst racists hatemongers in the web. Your views are not only UNChristian but they are also plain RACIST. So you racist hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother's eye.
"Do you have any children/grand children? I wonder what your children/grandchildren would say about your plain hatemongering racist rants in your myopic articles, 20 years down the road? Would they be proud of you or would they change their last names in disgust?"
I'm not concerned about that, but I am concerned that America's educational system is responsible for Barack's disproportionately high support among young voters who disparage experience and accomplishment and instead embrace empty slogans.
The real scandal that the so-called Duke Lacrosse Rape Case involved was not rape, sexual assault or kidnapping (of which there was none), but political correctness gone so wild that the (white) Democrat district attorney opted to pander to the black bloc vote by persecuting young white men and the powers that be at Duke University either cooperated or acquiesced.
The contamination of America's educational system by that extreme political correctness largely explains why Barack Obama, a half-black, half-white rookie United States Senator aspiring to become the President of the United State without any significant legislative accomplishment or military or executive experience and with a wife who puts "the Black Community" 'first and foremost" and only became really proud of America after her husband's campaign was well deceived, is doing so well with younger voters.
The same Barackite subsequently emailed me what to expect if Barack wins the Democrat nomination:
"FYI, if Barack Obama gets the Democratic nomination, all blacks &other minorities will turn this election into a referendum on racism and xenophobia against an almost ALL-WHITE REPUBLICAN party. Guess what? Myopic & ignorant racists like you 'Husseining' Obama will be making the case for all peace-loving tolerant American middle majority; especially with the 'race-blind' young generation--to reject an almost all White Republican party--for generations to come.
"The same way that an almost ALL-White Republican party has shot-itself in the foot, perhaps for generation, with Hispanics. Welcome to tolerant, peace-loving middle majority America...welcome to new America, you blind racist!"
In sharp contrast, the Jewish gentleman from New York subsequently emailed: "I pray that all people will be blessed with the love of G-d and the will to be good."
As the lady quoted at the beginning of this article would put it: AMEN.
