Maj. Gen. Guy C. Swan III, director of operations, J-3, U.S. Northern Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., to deputy chief of staff, strategic operations (C-3), Multi-National Force-Iraq, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Iraq.

Brig. Gen. John M. Bednarek, acting commanding general, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, to commanding general, First Army Division East, Fort Meade, Md. Bednarek was previously announced to serve as commanding general, U.S. Army Training Center and Fort Jackson, Fort Jackson, S.C.

Brig. Gen. Anthony R. Ierardi, commander, Joint Task Force North, U.S. Northern Command, Fort Bliss, Texas, to deputy commanding general (programs), Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan.

Brig. Gen. John D. Johnson, deputy commanding general, family and morale, Welfare and Recreation Command, Alexandria, Va., to deputy commanding general, I Corps and Fort Lewis, Fort Lewis, Wash.

Brig. Gen. Bradley W. May, director, Enlisted Personnel Management Directorate, U.S. Army Human Resources Command, Alexandria, Va., to commanding general, U.S. Army Training Center and Fort Jackson, Fort Jackson, S.C.

Brig. Gen. Frank D. Turner III, commanding general, U.S. Army Developmental Test Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., to deputy commanding general/chief of staff, U.S. Army Accessions Command, Fort Monroe, Va.
