Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates will deliver remarks at the White House for Military Spouses Day at 9:30 a.m. EDT.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England will host the ambassadors of Australia and New Zealand at a ceremony dedicating the new Pentagon corridor themed to honor the security treaty among Australia, New Zealand and the United States known as ANZUS, at 11 a.m., on the second floor of A-ring, between corridors eight and nine. Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the North Parking Entrance only. Plan to arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification. Please call (703) 697-5131 for escort into the building.

Pentagon Press Secretary Geoff Morrell will conduct a press briefing at noon in the DoD Briefing Room, Pentagon 2E579.
