I am a staunch conservative Republican. Although I am not thrilled with our nominee I intend to support John McCain for president.

It is incomprehensible to me that The Conservative Voice would endorse the creation of an obstacle for a Republican in the White House. What is at stake here is not my or anyone else' personal preference. Our next president will be appointing two maybe four Supreme Court Justices and many other judicial positions.

Those appointed to the Supreme Court will be making decisions of great importance for the next decade or two. John McCain will make the right appointments. Barack Obama can't even select people for his campaign that won't get him into trouble. What type of judicial and other appointments do you think he will be making?

A split Conservative vote will ensure a Democrat victory in November. This will spell disaster for our country. Our military will be castrated, Islamic terrorists will be emboldened, and the country will plummet into Marxist Socialism from which we may never recover.

I urge all Conservatives to suck it up and vote for the only viable candidate we have. John McCain garnered the most votes in the Republican Primaries. It surprised me and just about everyone I know. But he did it. He got so many more votes than the other guys that they just up and quit.

John McCain is an honorable man who stands for the most important aspects of conservative values. Barack Obama is the exact opposite of what we are working for. McCain is the only good that can defeat the evil of Marxist Socialism expounded by Obama.

A child will howl and scream for the big candy bar refusing to accept the health bar his mother is offering at the super market checkout lane. In the end he gets nothing for his tantrum. As adults we must realize that we can't get everything we want. Just as we have to be satisfied with a Ford or Toyota rather than a Lincoln Towncar or Cadillac due to our budget, we need to realize that we need to curb our childish desires and start thinking with our heads and not emotions. Grow up people.
