German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder and his Social Democratic Party (SPD) are in a tight election race against Angela Merkel, a conservative, and her Christian Democratic Alliance, and this election should matter to Americans.
At stake is who will emerge as the next Chancellor of Germany. It once was the case that the SPD, though liberal, was a reliable ally to the United States, much as the liberal Labour Party of Prime Minister Anthony Charles Lynton Blair of Great Britain remains. However, just as Adolf Hitler drummed up hatred against the Jews to divert attention from his own insane policies, so to has Schroeder created a scapegoat of the United States to divert attention from his failed liberal policies. Two Socialists, Hitler and Schroeder, who employed hatred of others to promote their bizarre agenda's, and who both, perverted a friendship between Germany and the United States into something quite different.
Now Schroeder and his modern day Brown Shirts, the SPD, have employed a new tactic in their election campaign, their campaign of hate. They are putting up SPD election posters of dead American soldiers in their flag covered coffins to promote Schroeder's opposition to the Iraq War. They do this as American soldiers remain stationed in Germany to maintain the peace. If Angela Merkel, a voice of reason in my opinion, fails to become the next Chancellor of Germany I believe that our soldiers stationed there should be withdrawn. If the pig face German Chancellor, Gerhard Schroeder, were a swine he would be the runt of the litter in the same pig pen with Adolf Hitler, but even a little swine sleeps it its on filth and should be avoided, and we should honor our soldiers by no longer saddling them with the duty of protecting this swine or his party.
