George Clooney's movie “Good Night and Good Luck” is yet one more effort by Hollywood to defend the indefensible, themselves. Senator Joe McCarthy saw in Hollywood in the 1950's what many see there today, a degenerate segment of America intent on destroying our country and our way of life. Joseph Stalin sent spies to the United States in the 1940's and 1950's to steal secrets and to create a 5th column to work against American interests. Stalin found in a Hollywood a nest of willing and eager collaborators.
It was Hollywood that came to the defense of Ethel Greenglass Rosenberg and her husband Julieus Rosenberg during the time of the McCarthy hearings, even though these pigs were convicted of passing nuclear secrets to the Soviet Union, which put us all in danger.
Of course the Rosenbergs were not the only communist scum giving our nuclear secrets to the Soviet Union in that timeframe, as Klaus Emil Fuchs stole nuclear secrets from Los Alamos labs and passed them on to the Soviets and Theodore Hall was doing the same thing.
During the 1950's men like Joe McCarthy and FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover were doing a great job fighting against communists and exposing their plans; and Hollywood's response has been to denigrate them. Interestingly, without any evidence Hollywood has labeled J. Edgar Hoover a cross dresser and a homosexual, which is not only a blatant lie but something you would think the sexual degenerates in Hollywood would warm up to, if true, rather than condemn.
George Clooney in his younger days had the looks but no talent. Today he still lacks the talent, the looks have gone and we can clearly see that he has no understanding of history. Perhaps someone should tell George Clooney that if he wants to see a real example of a politician on a witch hunt he should come to Austin Texas and watch Ronnie Earle perform for the cameras.
